Job Purpose

As the Associate Director of IT Business Relationship Management (BRM) for Qiddiya’s Motorsport portfolio, you will serve as the strategic technology leader, bridging the gap between business leadership and technology teams. This pivotal role is responsible for driving technology demand management, portfolio governance, and roadmap development while ensuring operational readiness across all Motorsport assets. Your primary objective is to align technology investments with business goals, asset strategies, and operational requirements to deliver measurable value and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary IT liaison for Motorsport business leadership, fostering trusted relationships with asset executives, operators, consultants, and delivery partners.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable technology roadmaps that drive competitive advantage and operational excellence.
  • Ensure technology decisions support business outcomes, operational objectives, and long-term asset strategies.
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions and executive alignment to ensure cohesive technology and business vision.

Demand Management & Portfolio Governance

  • Own the Motorsport demand intake process, evaluating, prioritizing, and governing business requests to optimize resource allocation.
  • Lead capability mapping and solution assessment activities to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technology investments deliver tangible business value and ROI.

Technology Strategy & Roadmap Development

  • Develop and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps for Motorsport assets, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity standards.
  • Identify opportunities for platform reuse, standardization, and innovation to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Drive the adoption of emerging technologies across key domains, including:
    • Smart venues and IoT platforms
    • Race operations and digital ticketing systems
    • Fan engagement and sports analytics solutions
    • Operational technology (OT) and venue operations systems
  • Own the strategic roadmap for Motorsport assets, which are characterized by high capital expenditure and complex integration requirements.

Asset IT & Operational Readiness

  • Lead IT readiness assessments for new Motorsport assets, ensuring technology mobilization plans are in place and aligned with business timelines.
  • Coordinate technology requirements with operators, business users, and delivery partners to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Ensure technology readiness prior to asset openings and major events, tracking dependencies across supporting facilities and core assets.
  • Collaborate with PMO, Architecture, Cybersecurity, Data, Infrastructure, and project delivery teams to execute technology initiatives effectively.

Motorsport-Specific Scope

The Associate Director - IT BRM will oversee technology demand and readiness for a diverse range of Motorsport-related assets, including:

  • Motorsport Park and Speed Park
  • Race Tracks and Visitor & Fan Experience Systems
  • Ticketing Platforms and Broadcast & Media Infrastructure
  • Venue Operations Systems and Security Command Centers
  • Smart Venue & IoT Platforms, Parking and Mobility Systems
  • Operational Technology (OT) integrations

This role is uniquely positioned as the single strategic owner for Motorsport technology demand, roadmap development, readiness, and executive engagement, ensuring cohesive and high-impact technology delivery.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology Management, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, Digital Transformation, Technology Strategy, or Business Relationship Management.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role managing technology portfolios, strategic roadmaps, and executive stakeholder engagement within complex, large-scale environments.
  • Proven track record of driving technology innovation and alignment with business objectives in high-integration environments.
