Position Overview

The Assistant Manager – Technology Procurement at Qiddiya Investment Company plays a pivotal role in driving strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives for cutting-edge technology solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Lead the end-to-end procurement process for technology-related goods and services, from vendor identification and evaluation to contract negotiation and finalization. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with Qiddiya’s long-term business objectives.
• Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors, ensuring favorable terms, competitive pricing, and reliable service delivery. Monitor vendor performance and address any issues proactively to mitigate risks.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze procurement spend data to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and value enhancement. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure procurement activities remain within budget while delivering maximum value.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to Qiddiya’s policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the procurement team and internal stakeholders, including IT, project managers, and executive leadership. Translate business needs into procurement requirements and provide expert guidance on technology acquisition strategies.
• Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to inform procurement decisions. Leverage market insights to negotiate favorable terms and secure innovative solutions for Qiddiya.
• Contract Administration: Oversee the execution and management of technology-related contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. Monitor contract milestones and renewals to avoid disruptions in service delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technology procurement, IT sourcing, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Proven track record in negotiating complex technology contracts, including software licenses, hardware, cloud services, and IT infrastructure solutions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret procurement data, assess market trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with e-sourcing tools is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of IT procurement best practices, including compliance with cybersecurity and data privacy regulations.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
