Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

• Client-Centered Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations to assess functional abilities, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to develop tailored treatment plans that align with each client’s goals and needs.
• Evidence-Based Interventions: Implement innovative and research-backed occupational therapy techniques to empower clients in regaining independence in daily living activities, from self-care tasks to instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Comprehensive Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with professional standards and organizational protocols.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Nurses, Physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate care and optimize client outcomes.
• Client and Caregiver Education: Provide clear, practical guidance to clients and their caregivers on adaptive techniques, safety measures, and home-based programs to facilitate sustainable progress and long-term independence.
• Professional Growth and Engagement: Actively participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development initiatives to stay abreast of industry trends and enhance your clinical skills.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will bring the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, demonstrating a strong academic foundation in the field.
• A valid Occupational Therapy license issued by SCFHS, ensuring you meet the regulatory requirements to practice professionally.
• A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, reflecting your commitment to safety and emergency preparedness in clinical settings.
