Key Responsibilities

As a Digital Machine Operator at Eventum Exhibitions, your core duties will include:

• Equipment Operation: Operate state-of-the-art digital printing machines, large-format printers, and cutting-edge production equipment to produce banners, signage, graphics, and other promotional materials with exceptional accuracy and efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of printed materials to ensure they meet the highest standards of clarity, color consistency, and durability. Address any discrepancies promptly to maintain flawless output.
• Pre-Press Preparation: Collaborate with the design team to prepare files for printing, ensuring proper color calibration, resolution settings, and file formatting. Troubleshoot any technical issues related to file compatibility or printing processes.
• Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of digital machines to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Report any malfunctions or required repairs to the technical team for immediate resolution.
• Workflow Coordination: Work closely with production managers, designers, and logistics teams to align printing schedules with event timelines. Prioritize tasks based on deadlines and project requirements to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all workplace safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals, equipment operation guidelines, and emergency procedures. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to foster a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A diploma or certification in graphic design, printing technology, or a related field. Relevant work experience in digital printing or production operations is highly desirable.
• Proven experience operating digital printing machines, such as Epson, HP Latex, or Roland printers, with a strong understanding of their functionalities and maintenance requirements.
• Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as RIP software for color management and print optimization.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality output consistently. Ability to identify and resolve technical issues related to printing processes.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across departments.
• Familiarity with industry standards for exhibition materials, including substrate types, ink compatibility, and finishing techniques (e.g., lamination, mounting, or die-cutting).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional language skills are a plus but not required.
