Key Responsibilities

The Director of Finance will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of Kerten Hospitality. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Financial Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the finance team, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals and objectives.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts to optimize resource allocation and profitability.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, in compliance with international accounting standards.
• Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement robust controls to mitigate exposure, safeguarding the company’s assets and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, assess financial performance, and recommend data-driven strategies to enhance shareholder value.
• Team Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, department heads, and external partners such as auditors, investors, and financial institutions.
• Cost Optimization: Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve financial performance without compromising service quality or guest experience.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc in Finance) or professional certification (CPA, CFA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality, real estate, or luxury services industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, SAP, Oracle), advanced Excel skills, and strong knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, with a track record of delivering financial results in complex, high-pressure environments.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to data-driven decision-making.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
