About the Role

Key Responsibilities

As a Building Management System Engineer, your core duties will encompass a wide range of technical and operational tasks, including:

• System Design and Integration: Develop and implement comprehensive BMS solutions tailored to the unique requirements of commercial, industrial, or residential buildings. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with HVAC, lighting, security, and other building systems.
• Programming and Configuration: Utilize industry-standard software tools to program, configure, and customize BMS controllers, sensors, and actuators. Ensure optimal performance through precise calibration and testing of system parameters.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operation of BMS infrastructure. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with efficiency and accuracy.
• Energy Management and Optimization: Implement energy-saving strategies, such as demand response, load shedding, and predictive maintenance, to reduce operational costs and support sustainability initiatives. Monitor energy consumption patterns and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to local and international standards, codes, and regulations governing building automation systems. Maintain accurate records, technical documentation, and as-built drawings for all BMS installations and modifications.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison between DeepSource Technologies, clients, and third-party vendors to facilitate smooth project execution. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure proficient operation of BMS platforms.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Automation, or a related field. Advanced certifications in BMS, HVAC, or building automation systems are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with BMS platforms such as Siemens Desigo, Honeywell Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, or similar systems. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., LON, BACnet, Modbus) and SCADA systems is essential.
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in BMS engineering, with a proven track record in designing, commissioning, or maintaining building automation systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions to optimize system performance.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
