Position Overview

NSH Saudi, a leading company in the Oil & Gas and EPC Projects sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced E&I Engineer to oversee and manage Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) activities for our esteemed projects in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of E&I installations, testing, commissioning, and site operations, while adhering to stringent project specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices. This role demands a proactive professional with a strong technical background and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

The E&I Engineer will be responsible for the following core duties:

• Project Execution & Supervision: Plan, supervise, and coordinate all Electrical & Instrumentation works at the project site, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality benchmarks.
• Technical Review & Compliance: Review and validate engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and material requirements to ensure compliance with approved designs and project standards.
• Electrical Systems Installation & Oversight: Supervise the installation of electrical equipment, including cables, cable trays, lighting systems, earthing, and associated components, ensuring adherence to safety and technical specifications.
• Instrumentation & Control Systems: Oversee the installation of instrumentation systems, including instruments, tubing, impulse lines, junction boxes, and control systems, while ensuring precision and reliability in operations.
• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Collaborate closely with construction, QA/QC, planning, procurement, and other engineering disciplines to facilitate seamless project execution and resolve interdepartmental challenges.
• Quality Assurance & Documentation: Conduct inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities to verify system functionality and compliance with project requirements. Prepare and review inspection requests, checklists, progress reports, and other essential documentation.
• Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to E&I installation and commissioning, providing timely solutions to minimize project disruptions.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) procedures, including participation in toolbox meetings and safety inspections. Verify compliance with Saudi Aramco/client standards and project specifications.
• Subcontractor & Manpower Management: Coordinate with subcontractors and manpower teams to optimize resource utilization and ensure efficient execution of E&I activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on experience in E&I engineering, with a strong focus on installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning, preferably within the Oil & Gas or EPC project environments.
• Regional & Industry Experience: Prior experience working in the Gulf region, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is highly advantageous. Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and project execution methodologies will be considered a significant plus.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electrical and instrumentation drawings, specifications, and international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, ISA).
• Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to manage site activities, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and documentation.
• Safety & Quality Focus: A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of HSE compliance and quality assurance throughout all project phases.
