In this dynamic role, you will serve as an independent and critical control function, overseeing the meticulous monitoring, analysis, and optimization of inventory movements and balances. Your responsibilities will span pharmaceuticals, medical and non-medical supplies, warehouses, departmental inventories, pharmacies, and operational custody items—ensuring seamless coordination between Finance, Warehouses, Pharmacies, Operational Departments, and IT/Systems Management. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining financial integrity, minimizing discrepancies, and fostering operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Oversight and Analysis: Monitor and analyze all inventory movements, including receipts, issues, transfers, returns, consumption, and adjustments, to ensure accuracy and integrity across all hospital locations.
• Physical Inventory Management: Conduct and review physical inventory counts, analyzing variances, discrepancies, and consumption patterns to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.
• Control and Compliance: Strengthen internal controls and segregation of duties to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and industry standards.
• Strategic Reporting: Provide reliable, data-driven insights to Finance and Executive Management, supporting cost analysis, inventory valuation, consumption trends, and financial reporting.
• System Verification: Verify the accuracy and completeness of inventory transactions recorded in the hospital’s ERP/HIS systems, ensuring seamless integration between operational and financial processes.
• Process Optimization: Identify unusual variances, losses, or control weaknesses, proposing corrective measures to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between Finance, Warehouses, Pharmacies, Operational Departments, and IT, fostering collaboration to align inventory management with broader organizational goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, or relevant healthcare finance credentials) are a significant advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in cost accounting, inventory control, or a similar role, with a strong preference for candidates with healthcare or hospital experience.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of inventory control principles, cost accounting methodologies, reconciliation processes, and variance analysis. Familiarity with ERP/HIS systems and inventory management software is essential.
• Analytical and Reporting Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret complex data, generate insightful reports, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
