Join SAIC as a **Radio Frequency Engineer** in a dynamic, mission-critical role supporting the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF). This full-time, field-based position requires hands-on expertise in the installation, integration, and troubleshooting of advanced C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) systems across naval vessels, command centers, and training facilities. Located primarily in Riyadh and Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, this role demands technical proficiency, adaptability, and a commitment to operational excellence in challenging environments.

As part of our Technical Support Center, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication and system reliability for the RSNF. Your responsibilities will span from pre-installation electromagnetic interference (EMI) assessments to post-deployment testing, ensuring optimal performance of critical radio and network infrastructure. With approximately **10% travel** required, this position offers the opportunity to work directly in operational settings, making a tangible impact on mission readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Integration & Testing: Conduct RF cabling, terminations, and operational testing for C4I system installations on RSNF platforms, including vessels, command centers, and training facilities. Perform EMI surveys—both pre- and post-installation—to assess and mitigate electromagnetic interference, compiling detailed EMI Summary Reports with actionable recommendations.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve complex RF and communication issues across UHF, VHF, HF, VSAT, UHF SATCOM, LINK-11/16, and KVH SATCOM systems. Utilize advanced test equipment and software diagnostics to isolate malfunctions, repair systems to component-level standards, and ensure compliance with technical orders and manufacturer specifications.
• Field Deployment & Maintenance: Maintain and repair communication circuits on both ashore and afloat platforms, including soldering (using 3M workstations or portable irons), RF and fiber optic cable termination, and ESD-safe component handling. Prepare test cables and documentation for upcoming project phases, ensuring readiness for deployment.
• Problem-Solving & Technical Leadership: Provide expert solutions to intricate technical challenges, leveraging data analysis and cross-functional collaboration. Represent SAIC in high-stakes engagements, offering innovative approaches to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Documentation & Compliance: Document RF quality issues, report findings, and update technical documentation to reflect approved corrective actions. Ensure adherence to engineering change plans and local procedures during equipment modifications.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, with a minimum of **five (5) years of relevant professional experience** in RF system integration, troubleshooting, or communications engineering.
• Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; active clearance is preferred. US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Technical Proficiencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows (7/10), Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, ADSI, and CENTRIXS. Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS networking, GPS systems, UPS (APC/Clary), and RF7800 series radios. Familiarity with KG-250 RF protection devices and fiber optic testing is a plus.
• Field & Collaboration Skills: Ability to work in operational environments, adapt to dynamic project timelines, and engage with inter-organizational teams and external customers. Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills are essential for representing SAIC effectively.
