About the Role

Cummins Arabia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Engineer-Technical Specialist (PowerGen) to join our dynamic Power Generation business unit. As an Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development, performance, and reliability of current and future power generation systems. Your responsibilities will span technical coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and precision engineering to ensure the delivery of high-performance products that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will serve as a technical liaison between product line engineers, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams, ensuring seamless alignment and execution of engineering objectives. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Actively engage with technical teams, sales representatives, project managers, and supplier partners to gather critical input and insights. Your role will involve providing data-driven recommendations that guide product decisions, ensuring alignment with quality, performance, and market requirements.
• Project Execution: Apply robust engineering principles and leveraging your hands-on experience to drive day-to-day project tasks and technical coordination. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality while navigating complex project timelines and deliverables.
• Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain precise engineering documentation, including specifications compliance, technical calculation sheets, and detailed reports. Your documentation will capture technical learnings, support cross-functional teams, and serve as a reference for future product development and troubleshooting.

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience, with a strong preference for candidates with prior involvement in the Power Generation sector. Hands-on experience with Cummins products or generator sets will be considered a significant advantage.
• Regional Experience: Prior professional experience within Saudi Arabia (KSA) or the broader GCC region is highly desirable, as it demonstrates familiarity with local market dynamics, regulatory standards, and operational challenges.
