Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting daily mechanical operations and maintenance activities across the facility. Your core duties will include:

• Mechanical Maintenance Support: Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Assist in diagnosing mechanical faults and coordinate timely repair actions to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
• Site Inspections: Conduct thorough site inspections to verify that mechanical systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Equipment Management: Support maintenance activities related to pumps, piping networks, valves, water systems, STP/RO plants, lift stations, and other mechanical equipment critical to facility operations.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with technicians, supervisors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks and adherence to project timelines.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate reports on maintenance progress, identified issues, material usage, and site observations to support data-driven decision-making.
• Compliance and Safety: Uphold stringent safety procedures, quality standards, and client-specific requirements to foster a secure and compliant operational environment.
• Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance, reduce downtime, and streamline mechanical operations for improved efficiency.
• Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive documentation of mechanical works, maintenance records, and inspection findings to ensure traceability and accountability.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with a preference for roles in Facilities Management, maintenance, construction, or site operations.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, piping, HVAC-related systems, water systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret and read engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents to support maintenance and operational activities.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and coordination abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Safety and Quality Focus: A strong commitment to maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality outcomes in all operational tasks.
• Operational Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work on-site and support operational requirements as needed to ensure uninterrupted facility performance.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following experience and skills will be advantageous:

• Prior experience in Facilities Management (FM), Operations & Maintenance (O&M), infrastructure projects, commercial buildings, hospitals, airports, industrial facilities, or large-scale project environments.
• Familiarity with Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems, work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, and site reporting tools.
