Lead Specialist - Internal Audit

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Specialist - Internal Audit to join the Midis Group team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the internal audit function, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and compliance across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Audit Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit plan aligned with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Lead the execution of audit engagements, including risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting.
• Risk Management and Compliance: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks across business processes, ensuring adherence to internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards. Collaborate with senior management to enhance the effectiveness of the risk management framework.
• Team Leadership and Development: Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to the internal audit team. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous learning to drive high performance and innovation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the Board of Directors, presenting audit findings, recommendations, and action plans. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote transparency and accountability.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate and recommend enhancements to internal controls, governance frameworks, and operational processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track progress toward remediation.
• Regulatory and Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements, emerging risks, and industry trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and resilient. Participate in professional development activities and maintain relevant certifications.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in internal audit, external audit, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience in a multinational or diversified organization is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in audit methodologies, risk assessment frameworks, and internal control evaluation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Familiarity with audit software and data analytics tools is advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and presentation abilities. Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive change management initiatives. Fluency in English and Arabic is required; additional languages are a valuable asset.
