Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Infrastructure Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the long-term vision for asset infrastructure design, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s strategic objectives and sustainability goals.
• Design Leadership: Provide technical leadership and oversight for the design of infrastructure assets, including transportation systems, utilities, digital infrastructure, and public amenities, to ensure functionality, safety, and scalability.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory authorities to facilitate seamless project execution, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Innovation and Sustainability: Drive the integration of cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices into infrastructure design, including smart city solutions, renewable energy integration, and resilient design principles.
• Budget and Resource Management: Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions within specified constraints, while identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential challenges in infrastructure design and implementation, and develop proactive mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all infrastructure designs adhere to local, regional, and international regulations, codes, and standards, including safety, environmental, and accessibility requirements.
• Team Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Planning, Urban Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, LEED, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in infrastructure design, with at least 5 years in a leadership or specialist role within large-scale urban development, smart city initiatives, or similar projects.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of infrastructure design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or BIM tools) and familiarity with GIS, data analytics, and smart infrastructure technologies.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and present findings to senior leadership and external partners.
