Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Riyadh. In this full-time, on-site role, you will play a critical part in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records, processing transactions, and supporting financial reporting and budgeting activities. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Transaction Management: Record and process financial transactions accurately and timely, including journal entries, invoices, and expense reports.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure the general ledger is up-to-date, balanced, and reconciled with supporting documentation.
  • Bank and Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage vendor payments, expense reimbursements, and customer invoicing while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development and monitoring of budgets, analyze financial data, and provide insights to optimize cost control and resource allocation.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, provide necessary documentation, and address audit findings to ensure a smooth and compliant audit process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, procurement, project management, and other departments to facilitate accurate financial data flow and support operational decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial reporting. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is essential, along with advanced skills in MS Excel and other office applications.
  • Operational Experience: Hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations. Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing processes is preferred.
  • Analytical and Organizational Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, prepare budgets, and contribute to forecasting and cost control initiatives. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams, external auditors, and stakeholders. A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of local accounting regulations and tax requirements in Saudi Arabia or the broader region is a plus.
