IT Infrastructure and Disaster Recovery (DR) Specialist (SAUDI ONLY)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure and Disaster Recovery (DR) Specialist to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is exclusively open to Saudi citizens and requires a minimum of two years of hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting end-to-end IT infrastructure and disaster recovery solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical proficiency in scripting, automation, and resilience planning, along with a strong understanding of business continuity principles. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our IT infrastructure’s reliability, ensuring seamless disaster recovery operations, and driving continuous improvement through automation and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure and DR Management: Develop, configure, and support end-to-end IT infrastructure and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring alignment with business continuity objectives and resilience requirements.
• Scripting and Automation: Design, develop, and implement automation scripts using tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform to streamline DR processes, workflows, and failover management.
• IBM RO Administration: Provide comprehensive administration and support for IBM RO tools, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement DR activities, automate workflows, and ensure seamless integration across heterogeneous IT environments, including Windows, Linux, and Unix systems.
• Disaster Recovery Drills: Plan, coordinate, and execute DR drills, including the development of test environments, test plans, and evaluation summaries. Monitor incidents during drills, analyze recovery performance, and recommend improvements to optimize recovery times (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO).
• Reporting and Documentation: Generate and maintain detailed reports on DR activities, recovery performance, and system improvements. Ensure thorough documentation of processes, test results, and evidence for compliance and audit purposes.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to simplify and accelerate DR processes, enhance reporting mechanisms, and implement best practices to improve overall IT infrastructure resilience and operational efficiency.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and address resiliency needs at both technical and process levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, including network protocols, scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform), and familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
• Disaster Recovery Knowledge: In-depth understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery principles, RTO, RPO, and recovery lifecycle management.
• Automation and Tooling: Experience with DR replication tools, automation frameworks, and the ability to build custom workflows to enhance DR efficiency.
• Analytical and Reporting Skills: Ability to analyze recovery performance data, generate customized reports, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Documentation and Compliance: Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records, documentation, and evidence for compliance and audit purposes.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in managed services, heterogeneous environment support, or additional certifications in disaster recovery and resilience management will be highly regarded. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to adapt to evolving technology landscapes.
