Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Operations Expert to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless management, operation, and performance of our organization’s applications while maintaining alignment with business objectives and service level agreements. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, supporting technical solutions, and facilitating smooth transitions from development to production environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Application Operations Expert will be responsible for providing strategic advice and hands-on support across a wide range of operational activities. Your core duties will include:

• Application Management and Performance Monitoring: Offer expert guidance on the management, operation, and performance monitoring of all organizational applications. Ensure systems are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and scalability while adhering to established service level agreements.
• Technical Solution Compliance and Support: Recommend best practices for the management and operation of technical solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and comply with service level agreements. Provide second-level support for incidents and technical issues as needed.
• Release and Deployment Management: Advise on the transfer of releases from development to production environments, ensuring all critical milestones—such as documentation, technical environment setup, knowledge transfer, and update plans—are thoroughly reviewed and agreed upon by relevant stakeholders.
• Production Environment Support: Recommend strategies for the ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and support of solutions once they are deployed in the live production environment. This includes managing release and deployment processes to minimize disruptions.
• Incident and Issue Resolution: Provide second-level support for beneficiaries of electronic platforms and services, addressing user inquiries and resolving technical issues efficiently. Assist employees with technical challenges related to electronic services.
• System Upgrades and Infrastructure Maintenance: Advise on planning and implementing upgrades, patches, and infrastructure updates for operating systems and application-related systems. Ensure application server operating systems and key management software are maintained to the highest standards.
• Vendor and Service Provider Coordination: Recommend and execute coordination with service providers and suppliers to address failures and ensure timely resolution of issues. Act as a liaison to guarantee service continuity and reliability.
• Testing and Access Control: Recommend functional and operational testing procedures where required, and oversee access control for solutions and databases to maintain security and integrity.
• Change Impact Assessment: Contribute to assessing the impact of proposed changes and updates to technical solutions, ensuring minimal risk to operations.
• Reporting and Performance Improvement: Prepare periodic reports on departmental activities, achievements, and performance metrics. Propose actionable improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with the organization’s work controls, conduct policies, cybersecurity protocols, and unit-specific procedures to safeguard data and maintain operational integrity.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other tasks assigned by direct supervisors to support the organization’s goals and objectives.

Required Experience and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in application operations, IT infrastructure, or a closely related field.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, providing a strong foundation in technical principles and practices.
