As a key contributor to our technical vision, you will leverage your expertise in Java and Spring Boot to build and refine backend services that power our core applications. Your work will span the entire software lifecycle—from initial concept and technical design to deployment and ongoing maintenance—ensuring every solution aligns with our commitment to excellence in scalability, security, and user experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Architect and Implement Backend Services: Design and develop scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture, ensuring modularity, maintainability, and performance.
• Own End-to-End Delivery: Lead the technical design, development, testing, and deployment of complex features, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Optimize Database and Integration Layers: Enhance database interactions, query performance, and integration workflows to maximize efficiency and reliability, while minimizing latency and resource consumption.
• Build Event-Driven Architectures: Develop and operate event-driven systems using Kafka and enterprise messaging to enable real-time data processing, asynchronous communication, and seamless inter-service coordination.
• Ensure Robust Security and Compliance: Apply best-in-class secure coding practices to enforce authentication, authorization, encryption, and sensitive data protection protocols, adhering to industry standards and internal security policies.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce engineering standards to uphold code quality, consistency, and best practices across the engineering squad.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Critical Issues: Diagnose and resolve complex production incidents with precision, implementing durable solutions that enhance system resilience and stability.
• Influence Technical Direction: Contribute to high-level technical decisions and architectural reviews, ensuring our solutions remain innovative, future-proof, and aligned with business objectives.
• Enhance DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines: Improve automation, testing, deployment strategies, and observability frameworks on OpenShift/Kubernetes, reducing operational overhead and accelerating delivery cycles.
• Mitigate Technical Debt: Identify and address technical debt proactively, driving continuous improvements in design, code structure, and system architecture to enhance long-term maintainability.
• Mentor and Collaborate: Guide junior engineers, share technical knowledge, and foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team, ensuring collective growth and innovation.
