Infrastructure Lead Operation

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Lead Operation to oversee and drive the maintenance and management of our IT infrastructure and managed services. In this critical role, you will lead cross-functional teams across servers, virtualization, networks, security, storage, backup, and monitoring, ensuring seamless operations, high availability, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Your expertise will be pivotal in resolving major incidents, optimizing performance, and implementing continuous improvements to support the organization’s technological objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Coordination: Direct and coordinate infrastructure maintenance and managed services operations, fostering collaboration among teams responsible for servers, virtualization, networks, security, storage, backup, and monitoring.
• Incident & Problem Management: Serve as the primary technical escalation point for critical and major incidents, driving swift resolution through structured incident, problem, and root-cause analysis processes.
• Infrastructure Maintenance & Upgrades: Oversee routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, migrations, and major changes to ensure system reliability, security, and performance.
• Performance & Compliance Monitoring: Continuously monitor infrastructure availability, performance metrics, capacity planning, and SLA compliance to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Act as a liaison between technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment, timely support, and resolution of infrastructure-related challenges.
• Disaster Recovery & Service Restoration: Lead disaster recovery efforts, ensuring robust service restoration processes are in place to minimize downtime and data loss during critical incidents.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standardized procedures, and knowledge transfer initiatives to enhance team efficiency and operational transparency.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives focused on infrastructure lifecycle management, automation, and optimization to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in large-scale managed services environments.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, VMware virtualization, LAN/WAN networking, network security, storage solutions, backup systems, disaster recovery, and monitoring tools.
• Analytical & Troubleshooting Skills: Exceptional ability to diagnose complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions under pressure.
• ITIL Framework: Solid understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management, to ensure structured and compliant operations.
• Leadership & Communication: Proven experience leading multiple technical teams and managing vendor relationships, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Availability: Willingness to work onsite in Riyadh and participate in on-call support duties as required to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
