Role Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Loss Prevention Specialist at Marriott International, Inc. in Riyadh. In this critical role, you will serve as the frontline defense against theft, fraud, and other forms of loss within our properties. Your primary responsibility will be to safeguard the company’s assets, protect our guests and employees, and ensure compliance with all security protocols. This position requires a proactive mindset, strong observational skills, and the ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive Measures: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter theft and unauthorized activities. Monitor surveillance systems and alarm systems to identify suspicious behavior or incidents.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or reports of suspicious activity. Investigate and document all incidents thoroughly, ensuring accurate and detailed reports are submitted to management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with local law enforcement, security personnel, and hotel management to address security concerns and implement effective loss prevention strategies.
• Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions for hotel staff on loss prevention policies, emergency procedures, and security best practices. Foster a culture of vigilance and accountability across all departments.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to company policies, local laws, and industry regulations related to loss prevention. Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and preventive actions taken.
• Customer Service: Serve as a visible and approachable presence to guests, addressing their concerns while maintaining a secure environment. Balance security measures with a positive guest experience.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in loss prevention, security, or a related field, preferably within the hospitality or retail industry.
• Skills: Exceptional observational skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency in using surveillance and security equipment. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and security management software is advantageous.
• Personal Attributes: Integrity, discretion, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A keen attention to detail and a commitment to upholding ethical standards are essential.
• Certifications: Certification in loss prevention, security management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
