The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Officer to join our finance team in Hail, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting and controls. Your responsibilities will encompass managing cash flow, performing reconciliations, overseeing period-end activities, analyzing costing structures, and validating SAP transactions. Additionally, you will ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards and provide on-the-job support to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cash flow to support operational and strategic financial objectives.
• Conduct thorough reconciliations of accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy.
• Oversee period-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, to maintain timely and compliant financial reporting.
• Analyze costing data to support pricing decisions, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
• Validate SAP transactions to ensure data integrity and adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, as well as regulatory requirements.
• Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to junior finance team members to foster professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience in a commercial organization, with a preference for candidates with exposure to FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
• Eligibility to meet the minimum credit hours required for Society of Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) membership.
