We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to oversee and enhance the financial operations of a prestigious healthcare organization. This pivotal role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and offers a full-time, on-site position within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, financial control, and regulatory compliance, with a preference for professionals with experience in the healthcare, hospital, or regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and reporting. Your core responsibilities will include:

• General Ledger & Financial Reporting: Oversee the management of the general ledger, chart of accounts, and trial-balance integrity to maintain accurate and reliable financial data.
• IFRS-Compliant Financial Statements: Prepare and present financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to support informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.
• Month-End Close & Financial Controls: Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and depreciation, while ensuring all balance-sheet accounts are properly supported and signed off.
• Audit Coordination: Facilitate seamless interim and year-end external audits by providing accurate financial records, documentation, and clear explanations to auditors.
• Accounting Operations: Supervise and optimize accounting functions, including general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), inventory, and payroll accounting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Payroll & Compliance Reconciliations: Review and approve payment batches, payroll journals, and critical reconciliations such as GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance), EOSB (Employment Office System in Bahrain), and WPS (Wage Protection System) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial control, with a proven track record in managing financial operations within a healthcare, hospital, or regulated industry environment.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IFRS, month-end close processes, audit procedures, and balance-sheet reconciliations. Experience with Oracle ERP finance modules is considered a significant advantage.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of a CPA, ACCA, or CMA qualification is highly preferred and will be viewed as a strong asset.
