Key Responsibilities

The Senior Team Manager - System Operation (Transport & Logistics) will play a critical role in overseeing and enhancing our transport and logistics operations. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize transport and logistics operations, aligning them with Almarai’s business objectives and industry best practices.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficient execution of transport and logistics processes, including route planning, fleet management, and delivery scheduling, to meet customer demands and operational targets.
• System Optimization: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of transport management systems (TMS) and logistics software to enhance visibility, tracking, and data-driven decision-making.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to local and international regulations, safety standards, and Almarai’s policies to maintain a secure and compliant operational environment.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehouse operations, and customer service, to streamline processes and deliver exceptional service.
• Innovation & Technology: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in transport and logistics, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CILT, PMP) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in transport and logistics management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in transport management systems (TMS), logistics software, and data analytics tools. Familiarity with ERP systems is desirable.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with a strong focus on mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach to operational improvement.
