Position Overview

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive measures to enhance operational safety and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Incident Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations of transport and logistics-related accidents, including road incidents, equipment failures, and workplace injuries, to determine contributing factors and root causes.
• Data Collection & Documentation: Gather and document evidence, witness statements, and relevant data from accident scenes, ensuring accuracy and completeness for legal and regulatory purposes.
• Report Preparation: Compile detailed investigative reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations for corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including safety officers, legal advisors, and operational managers, to address safety concerns and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all investigations adhere to local, national, and international safety regulations, as well as Almarai’s internal policies and standards.
• Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance safety awareness among drivers, logistics personnel, and management, fostering a culture of proactive risk management.
• Trend Analysis: Monitor and analyze accident trends to identify patterns and areas for improvement, recommending systemic changes to reduce incident rates.
• Emergency Response Support: Provide expert guidance during emergency response efforts to minimize damage and ensure swift recovery following accidents.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline. Professional certifications in accident investigation or safety management are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accident investigation, preferably within the transport, logistics, or manufacturing sectors. Experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with investigative tools, software for data analysis, and safety management systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify root causes, and develop actionable recommendations to prevent future incidents.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to gathering and analyzing evidence to ensure accurate and unbiased investigations.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local and international safety regulations, including OSHA, ISO standards, and regional transport laws.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
