الوصف الوظيفي
Medical Science Liaison – Middle East
At Hemab, we are pioneering groundbreaking preventative treatments for rare and underserved bleeding disorders, leveraging cutting-edge science to empower patients before bleeds occur. Our mission-driven approach combines clinical expertise with innovative research, positioning us at the forefront of a transformative era in hematology. As a clinical-stage company with a strong pipeline, we are expanding our global footprint, including strategic operations in the Middle East, with headquarters in Cambridge, MA, and Copenhagen, Denmark. Our upcoming IPO in 2026 underscores our commitment to scaling impact while maintaining a patient-first ethos.
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to establish Hemab’s scientific presence in the Middle East, with a focus on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. This pivotal role will bridge the gap between our clinical development programs, medical affairs, and key stakeholders—including clinicians, investigators, and patient communities—while driving regional engagement and strategic insights. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in advancing our flagship program, SOLARA, by fostering investigator relationships and accelerating site activation, particularly in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
In this influential position, you will:
- Build and nurture trusted scientific relationships with leading hematologists, investigators, and care teams across GCC tertiary referral centers and specialist networks, positioning Hemab as a credible and collaborative partner in the region.
- Lead SOLARA site activation and investigator engagement in Saudi Arabia, collaborating closely with Development and Medical Affairs teams to ensure seamless trial execution and recruitment.
- Translate field insights into actionable strategies by gathering and synthesizing clinical feedback to inform study recruitment, evidence generation, and regional medical strategies, ensuring our pipeline remains aligned with real-world needs.
- Conduct balanced, data-driven scientific exchanges that clearly communicate Hemab’s innovative science and its relevance to rare bleeding disorders, fostering informed dialogue with clinicians, researchers, and health authorities.
- Identify high-potential study sites and investigators by leveraging regional expertise to assess feasibility, optimize recruitment, and enhance trial success rates.
- Strengthen Hemab’s engagement with patient organizations and professional societies to deepen our understanding of patient challenges and care barriers, ensuring our solutions are both clinically robust and patient-centric.
- Translate complex scientific and clinical data into accessible insights for diverse regional audiences, including clinicians, researchers, and regulatory bodies, bridging gaps in communication and collaboration.
- Establish and refine field medical operational frameworks for the GCC as Hemab’s regional presence evolves, ensuring scalable and efficient ways of working.
What You’ll Bring to Hemab
We are looking for a strategic thinker with a proven track record in field medical or scientific liaison roles, equipped to:
- Engage credibly with specialist clinicians and investigators, demonstrating the ability to build and maintain high-level scientific relationships.
- Leverage existing experience working with GCC tertiary referral centers, hematology specialists, or regional health authorities, ensuring cultural and operational alignment.
- Possess a strong scientific foundation and the ability to articulate complex clinical and mechanistic concepts with clarity and precision.
- Have hands-on experience supporting clinical trials, including site engagement, feasibility assessments, recruitment strategies, and investigator relationships.
- Showcase a proven ability to gather actionable field intelligence and translate it into impactful input for internal development and medical teams.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English, with the capability to conduct sophisticated scientific discussions in both languages, reflecting our commitment to regional engagement.
- Be based in either the UAE or Saudi Arabia, with the flexibility and willingness to travel extensively across GCC markets and internationally as required.
Nice to Have:
- Specialized experience in hematology, rare diseases, coagulation, or related therapeutic areas, providing deep domain expertise.
- Prior experience building field medical capabilities in a small or growing biotech environment, particularly with a focus on Middle Eastern trial site activation.
