Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Specialist-iT Cluster to join our dynamic team at Ummahat Island 1, Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, testing, evaluation, and repair of comprehensive IT infrastructure, including computer networks, workstations, server support systems, compatible hardware and software, user accounts, and IT/telephony rooms. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring seamless technical operations, enhancing system efficiency, and delivering exceptional support to both internal teams and guests.

Key Responsibilities

The Specialist-iT Cluster will play a multifaceted role in maintaining and optimizing our IT ecosystem. Your core responsibilities will include:

• System and Network Management: Install, configure, administer, and maintain computer networks, LAN/WAN systems, and internet connectivity. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
• User Support and Training: Provide expert guidance and training to users on proper system usage and security protocols. Address user inquiries, troubleshoot technical problems, and ensure adherence to IT best practices.
• Infrastructure and Security: Plan, coordinate, and implement robust security measures for the network and IT infrastructure. Conduct regular inspections, evaluations, and diagnostics of equipment and systems to identify areas for improvement.
• System Enhancements and Upgrades: Analyze current processes, recommend improvements, and implement enhancements to increase operational efficiency, productivity, and system reliability. Coordinate installations, relocations, acquisitions, and modifications of IT equipment.
• Data Management and Backup: Ensure accurate data backup procedures are in place and stored securely in fireproof safes. Manage disk space allocation across the network and maintain precise inventories of all technological assets.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to management. Safeguard proprietary information and company assets with the utmost confidentiality.
• Guest and Team Collaboration: Attend to guest service needs and support colleagues in delivering exceptional experiences. Foster positive working relationships and contribute to team objectives with a commitment to fairness and open communication.
• Operational Duties: Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, and transporting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Maintain mobility by standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Utilize computers and point-of-sale systems to input and retrieve information. Navigate stairs and ramps as required to fulfill job responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Education: A diploma or certificate from a technical, vocational, or trade school is required.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in IT support, network administration, or a closely related field is essential.
• Certifications: No specific certifications are required for this position.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are critical. The ability to interact professionally with colleagues and guests, handle telephone inquiries with proper etiquette, and serve as a positive role model for fair treatment and open-door policies is imperative.
• Physical Requirements: The role may involve standing, sitting, or walking for prolonged periods, as well as lifting and moving equipment up to 50 pounds. The ability to navigate stairs and ramas is also necessary.
