Key Responsibilities

The Senior Director of Interior Design – Hospitality will oversee the entire interior design lifecycle for hospitality projects, ensuring that each space reflects excellence in design, sustainability, and guest experience. Core responsibilities include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a cohesive interior design strategy that aligns with Qiddiya’s brand identity and hospitality objectives, ensuring consistency across all projects while fostering creativity and innovation.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of interior designers, architects, and design associates, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that drives excellence in design execution.
• Design Execution: Oversee the conceptualization, development, and delivery of interior design solutions for luxury hotels, resorts, and hospitality venues, from initial concept to final installation, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, external partners, and stakeholders to align design vision with business goals, ensuring that all hospitality projects meet the highest standards of luxury, functionality, and guest satisfaction.
• Innovation & Sustainability: Champion sustainable design practices and cutting-edge materials, integrating eco-friendly solutions without compromising on aesthetics or performance, in line with Qiddiya’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining design integrity and delivering exceptional value.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all interior design elements meet or exceed industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Qiddiya’s brand expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in interior design, with a strong focus on luxury hospitality projects. Key qualifications include:

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from a reputable institution.
• Professional Experience: Extensive experience in leading large-scale hospitality interior design projects, including hotels, resorts, and high-end venues, with a demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and a deep understanding of materials, finishes, and construction methodologies.
• Cultural Awareness: Sensitivity to regional design preferences and cultural nuances, with the ability to create spaces that resonate with diverse audiences while maintaining a global standard of luxury.
• Certifications: Professional certifications in interior design or related fields (e.g., LEED, CIDQ) are highly desirable.
