Water Transmission and Technologies Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Accounting Manager to oversee and direct our accounting operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of financial records while contributing to strategic decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership: Lead the accounting department, providing guidance and mentorship to a team of professionals to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS, while preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with senior management to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and financial forecasts, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to optimize financial performance.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Process Improvement: Streamline accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between the accounting department and other business units, as well as external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate clear communication and alignment of financial objectives.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of long-term financial strategies that support the company’s growth and sustainability goals.
• Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the accounting team, ensuring that staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role within a corporate environment.
• Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, with a strong understanding of accounting software and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all financial matters.
