Subcontracts Lead (Saudi Arabia)

Position Overview

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subcontracts Lead to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all subcontracting activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, and driving cost-effective and efficient procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in subcontracts management, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Subcontracts Management: Lead the development, negotiation, and execution of subcontracts in alignment with project requirements and company standards. Ensure all subcontracts adhere to legal, regulatory, and ethical guidelines while mitigating risks associated with supplier performance and delivery.
• Supplier Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships. Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
• Contract Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor subcontract performance to ensure adherence to terms, conditions, and deliverables. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, including financial, operational, and legal risks, to safeguard the organization’s interests.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze subcontracting costs and identify strategies to reduce expenditures without compromising quality or delivery timelines. Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to develop budgetary controls and cost-saving initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, legal teams, finance, and other departments to align subcontracting activities with overall business objectives. Provide guidance and support to ensure seamless integration of subcontracts within project workflows.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present detailed reports on subcontracting activities, performance metrics, and risk assessments. Maintain accurate records of all subcontracts, amendments, and communications for audit and compliance purposes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in subcontracts management, procurement, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Experience in the defense, aerospace, or engineering sectors is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in contract management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and strong analytical skills to evaluate subcontract performance and cost structures.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence stakeholders, manage conflicts, and drive consensus in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are advantageous.
