Job Overview
As a Global Mobility Specialist within our IMEA Mobility & Security team, you will serve as a critical liaison between Oliver Wyman, its employees, and external stakeholders to deliver compliant, timely, and employee-focused global mobility services. This role is based in our Riyadh office and will primarily support immigration and mobility activities across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain, with additional assistance for other GCC countries as needed. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating immigration processes, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support to ensure a seamless experience for employees transitioning across borders. By collaborating closely with Human Capital Operations, Recruiting, Talent Management, and business stakeholders, you will contribute to a consistent and efficient employee journey while upholding Oliver Wyman’s policies and local regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Immigration and Mobility Coordination: Manage day-to-day global mobility and immigration activities across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain, with support for other GCC countries as required. This includes overseeing residence permits, Iqamas/QIDs, work authorizations, business visas, renewals, transfers, and cancellations.
- Stakeholder Advisory: Provide expert guidance to employees, candidates, Talent Management, project teams, and other stakeholders on immigration requirements for cross-border project staffing, business travel, onboarding, and international transfers. Coordinate necessary approvals and documentation to facilitate smooth processes.
- In-Country Process Support: Assist with in-country processes such as medical examinations, biometrics, business visa health insurance, and relocation processes, collaborating with Human Capital Operations and external vendors to ensure timely completion.
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor immigration regulations, restrictions, and process changes, assess their impact on employees and project staffing, and update relevant stakeholders, guidance materials, and internal communication templates accordingly.
- Documentation and Administration: Prepare and issue immigration, mobility, and employee documentation, including required letters and certificates. Provide administrative support such as document coordination, tracking, filing, and attestation to the Global Mobility Manager and Human Capital team.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and confidential immigration and relocation records, databases, and trackers. Monitor visa, residence, and work permit expiry dates, and proactively coordinate renewals and follow-up actions to prevent disruptions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, cross-regional Global Mobility colleagues, immigration providers, government relations representatives, and other service providers to resolve cases and ensure effective service delivery.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with 2–3 years of professional experience, or 3–4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Global Mobility, Immigration, Human Capital Operations, or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with GCC immigration experience, particularly in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Human Capital, Global Mobility, or case-management systems is a plus.
Skills and Behaviors
- Client-Service Excellence: Demonstrate a strong client-service orientation, delivering a positive and professional employee experience while managing expectations and communicating effectively across all levels of the firm.
- Organizational Agility: Exhibit excellent organizational, prioritization, and follow-up skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple cases, competing priorities, and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Initiative and Adaptability: Operate as a self-starter with the ability to work independently, adapt to changing circumstances, and drive processes to completion with minimal supervision.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication to resolve issues and deliver results.
