Position Overview

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Senior MinePlan Engineer to ensure the seamless operation of Hexagon Mining’s mine planning software and systems at client sites, delivering measurable value to mining operations. This role is pivotal in providing advanced technical support, resolving complex issues, and optimizing mine planning solutions to enhance safety, productivity, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with technical teams, adhere to support schedules, and contribute to continuous software improvements. Core Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership and Support: Deliver high-value technical support for Hexagon Mining’s MineSight software worldwide, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for clients.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Provide expert-level troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve complex software issues with precision and efficiency, minimizing downtime for clients.
• Customer Engagement and Ownership: Act as the primary point of contact for client support and enhancement requests, taking full ownership of issues from identification to resolution or escalation.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with the technical support team to share knowledge, cross-skill, and ensure comprehensive coverage of support duties while maintaining high service standards.
• On-Call Support: Participate in after-hours on-call support activities to address critical issues and maintain operational continuity for global clients.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance technical support processes, recommend improvements, and implement best practices to increase team efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Knowledge Transfer and Training: Develop and maintain FAQs, self-service videos, and documentation to empower clients and internal teams. Provide client training and project assistance when required, including travel for on-site support.
• Documentation and Reporting: Ensure meticulous documentation of software issues, enhancement requests, and defect reports to support the Product Development team in driving software improvements.
• Professional Representation: Uphold Hexagon Mining’s reputation by representing the company in a courteous, professional, and solution-oriented manner at all times.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to Hexagon Mining’s Workplace Health and Safety policies, participate in audits, and follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for oneself and others.
