Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

• Operational Leadership: Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the F&B department, including restaurants, bars, and room service, to ensure seamless service delivery and adherence to Hilton’s high standards.
• Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of F&B staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen personnel, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional development.
• Guest Experience Enhancement: Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to elevate the dining experience, ensuring personalized service and addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
• Inventory and Cost Control: Collaborate with the procurement team to manage inventory levels, minimize waste, and control costs while maintaining the quality and availability of F&B offerings.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as Hilton’s brand standards, to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence and guest safety.
• Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills, knowledge, and performance, aligning with Hilton’s commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
• Financial Performance: Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting to support the F&B department’s profitability and sustainability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping, front office, and culinary teams, to ensure cohesive operations and a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in a supervisory F&B role.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in food and beverage management, preferably within a luxury or upscale hospitality environment.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational and service excellence.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue management experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Proficiency in F&B software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluency in English; additional languages, particularly Arabic, are highly desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the role.
