Key Responsibilities

The Senior Team Manager – System Operations will play a critical role in managing and enhancing our transport and logistics systems. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize transport and logistics operations, aligning them with Almarai’s business objectives and industry best practices.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day system operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards while maximizing efficiency and productivity.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements, leveraging technology and data-driven insights to enhance operational performance and reduce costs.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehouse, and distribution, to streamline workflows and resolve operational challenges.
• Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
• Innovation & Technology: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in transport and logistics, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to drive operational efficiency.
• Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with transport and logistics operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CILT, CSCP) is a plus.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in transport and logistics operations, with at least 3-5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
• Proven track record in system operations management, including experience with transport management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with senior stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian transport and logistics regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with logistics software and tools.
