Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Storage Administrator with extensive hands-on experience in managing enterprise storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in SAN/NAS storage systems, including LUNs, RAID configurations, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI protocols. You will be responsible for storage provisioning, replication, backup strategies, snapshot management, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting within complex data center environments. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, availability, and security of our clients' mission-critical storage infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Storage Management: Administer and maintain enterprise SAN/NAS storage environments, ensuring optimal performance, capacity utilization, and high availability.
• Data Protection & Recovery: Implement and manage robust backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies, including RPO/RTO compliance and replication solutions.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization: Diagnose and resolve storage-related issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and enhance system efficiency.
• Virtualization & Cloud Integration: Support VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix environments, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise storage platforms and cloud-based storage solutions, such as Azure Storage and Azure Backup.
• Capacity Planning & Monitoring: Proactively monitor storage capacity, performance metrics, and growth trends to anticipate future requirements and prevent bottlenecks.
• Multi-Site Data Center Support: Provide expert-level support for multi-site data center environments, ensuring consistent service delivery and adherence to SLAs across all locations.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network, security, and application teams, to design and implement storage solutions. Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
• Incident & Change Management: Handle high-priority incidents (P1/P2), perform RCA, and manage infrastructure changes to maintain system stability and compliance with organizational policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in enterprise storage administration, data center infrastructure, and backup environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAN/NAS storage systems, RAID configurations, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and high-availability storage environments.
• Virtualization & Cloud: Strong knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, and cloud storage platforms, particularly Azure Storage and Azure Backup.
• Backup & Recovery: Familiarity with backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, ExaGrid, Synology NAS, or equivalent technologies.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex storage issues, troubleshoot technical challenges, and implement effective solutions under pressure.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, document processes, and present technical information clearly.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in storage technologies (e.g., CompTIA Storage+, EMC Proven Professional, NetApp Certified Data Administrator) are a plus.
