Senior IT Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives while adhering to stringent quality, security, compliance, and governance standards. Your expertise will drive the successful implementation of technology initiatives, fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership and Execution: Lead IT projects of varying scope and complexity, from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Scope and Stakeholder Management: Define and document project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in close collaboration with business stakeholders. Act as the primary liaison between technical teams—including software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and data—and business leaders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Risk and Change Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests. Implement robust risk management strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure timely resolution of challenges. Manage change control processes to maintain project integrity and stakeholder confidence.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress against approved plans, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Generate and present regular status reports, executive dashboards, and progress reviews to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project health, risks, and milestones.
• Methodology and Process Optimization: Apply best-in-class project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks, tailored to project requirements. Continuously evaluate and refine project delivery methodologies, processes, and governance structures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Resource and Vendor Coordination: Ensure optimal resource allocation and utilization across projects. Manage vendor relationships, procurement activities, and third-party technology partnerships to support project objectives and deliverables. Facilitate smooth handover of completed projects to operational and support teams for seamless transition into production environments.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, requirements specifications, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, and closure documents. Ensure adherence to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess a blend of technical acumen, leadership skills, and project management expertise. The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management or technology delivery, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end IT projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches. Experience with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in project planning, budgeting, risk management, resource allocation, and reporting within dynamic IT environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder and client management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining a focus on deliverables and outcomes.
• Preferred qualifications include certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or equivalent. Experience in digital transformation initiatives, government projects, enterprise-scale technology deployments, or domains such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, data/AI, ERP, CRM, or enterprise applications is highly desirable.
