Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Data Architects, Technical Data Leads, Business Analysts, ETL Developers, BI Developers, Platform Administrators, and key business stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and data solutions by analyzing requirements, evaluating existing data structures and processes, ensuring data integrity, and facilitating the transition toward our target data architecture.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust blend of skills in business analysis, data analysis, SQL proficiency, data quality assurance, reporting, and data visualization. This role demands the ability to interpret complex business inquiries and transform them into precise, actionable data insights that drive informed decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

• Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear data and analytical specifications.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business teams to understand processes, key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting needs, and data requirements.
• Data Source Evaluation: Examine existing data sources, including Operational Data Stores (ODS), Data Warehouses (DWH), staging environments, data marts, and reporting systems.
• Data Profiling and Quality Assurance: Assess data to identify quality issues such as duplication, inconsistencies, missing values, and anomalies, ensuring data reliability.
• Report and Dashboard Analysis: Review existing reports, dashboards, calculations, and business logic to ensure accuracy before migration or redesign initiatives.
• Documentation and Mapping: Define and document data requirements, source-to-target mappings, business rules, and transformation logic to support system enhancements.
• SQL Query Development: Design and execute complex SQL queries for data extraction, reconciliation, validation, and in-depth analysis.
• Architecture Support: Assist the Data Architect in evaluating the current-state data architecture and defining requirements for the target-state platform.
• Pipeline Validation: Work with ETL/ELT teams to validate data pipelines and transformation logic, ensuring seamless data flow.
• Data Migration Support: Perform source-to-target reconciliation and data validation during migration activities, facilitating coexistence between legacy and target platforms.
• Platform Analysis: Analyze data from enterprise platforms such as Oracle, Data Warehouses, Operational Data Stores, Master Data Management (MDM), Business Intelligence (BI), and other data repositories.
• Integration Pattern Analysis: Evaluate data integration patterns, including batch processing, Change Data Capture (CDC), APIs, and file-based ingestion, from both analytical and business perspectives.
• Analytical Dataset Development: Create and maintain analytical datasets, data marts, and semantic-layer requirements to support business intelligence initiatives.
• BI Solution Collaboration: Partner with BI developers to define and validate dashboards, reports, KPIs, and semantic models, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Data Quality and Governance: Establish and document data quality rules, support monitoring activities, and assist with metadata management, data lineage, data ownership, and business glossary initiatives.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, eliminate redundant data processes, and enhance data utilization across the organization.
• Regulatory and Reporting Support: Assist in meeting regulatory, management, operational, and enterprise reporting requirements while ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards.
• Advanced Analytics Preparation: Support the preparation of data for advanced analytics, machine learning, and future AI/LLM use cases, enabling innovation and scalability.
• Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate analytical findings, data issues, and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering a data-driven culture.
• Best Practices Contribution: Contribute to the development of data standards, documentation, and best practices to elevate the organization’s data maturity.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Proven Experience: A strong background as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or a similar data-focused position.
• SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience working with relational databases, particularly Oracle or comparable enterprise database platforms.
• Data Architecture Knowledge: Familiarity with Operational Data Stores (ODS), Data Warehouses (DWH), data marts, lakehouse architectures, and related data management concepts.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and actionable insights.
• Collaboration Skills: Aptitude for working effectively within cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify data discrepancies, validate information, and ensure data integrity.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to present findings, document processes, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
