Position Overview

HanmiGlobal Saudi is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the precision and accuracy of construction projects by conducting detailed field surveys, collecting essential data, and providing actionable insights to project stakeholders. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting engineers, quantity surveyors, and project managers to deliver high-quality construction outcomes that adhere to design specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Surveyor will be responsible for a range of essential tasks, including:

• Field Data Collection: Conduct comprehensive field surveys to gather precise data regarding land topography, existing structures, and construction sites, ensuring all measurements are accurate and reliable.
• Advanced Surveying Techniques: Utilize state-of-the-art surveying equipment, such as Total Stations, GPS devices, and specialized software, to measure distances, elevations, angles, and other critical parameters with the highest level of precision.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain meticulous records, sketches, and detailed reports of survey findings. Ensure all documentation is clear, organized, and readily accessible for review by project teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborative Support: Work closely with engineers, quantity surveyors, and project managers to provide essential survey data that informs construction planning, design adjustments, and execution strategies.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere rigorously to safety protocols, industry regulations, and project specifications during all fieldwork activities. Implement best practices to mitigate risks and ensure a secure working environment.
• Construction Layout and Verification: Assist in the accurate setting out of construction works in alignment with design plans and technical specifications, verifying that all elements are positioned correctly throughout the project lifecycle.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of surveying instruments to ensure optimal performance and longevity, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct periodic reviews and quality checks to validate the accuracy of survey data and ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of seven years of hands-on experience in surveying, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked extensively within the construction industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in operating modern surveying instruments and software, including Total Stations, AutoCAD, GPS systems, and other relevant tools. Familiarity with digital surveying technologies is highly desirable.
• Knowledge Base: A deep understanding of surveying principles, methodologies, and safety standards, coupled with the ability to apply this knowledge in practical, real-world scenarios.
• Analytical and Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify discrepancies, and ensure the highest level of accuracy in all survey outputs.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Regional Experience: Prior experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or similar environments is considered advantageous, as it demonstrates familiarity with local regulations, conditions, and industry practices.
