Video Editor / Motion Graphics Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor / Motion Graphics Designer to join our dynamic team at Al Ahli FC. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage, matchday highlights, player stories, and campaign concepts into compelling, visually stunning video and motion graphics content. Your work will serve as the visual heartbeat of the club, engaging fans across social media, digital platforms, and broadcast channels while reinforcing our brand identity and driving commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

As a Video Editor / Motion Graphics Designer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Content Creation and Editing: Produce high-quality short- and long-form video content, including matchday highlights, player feature stories, sponsor integrations, and promotional hype videos tailored for social media, broadcast, and digital platforms.
• Motion Graphics Design: Develop and animate dynamic motion graphics packages, such as lower-thirds, titles, stat overlays, and sponsor bumpers, ensuring alignment with Al Ahli FC’s brand guidelines and visual identity.
• Live and Fast-Turnaround Content: Deliver immediate, high-impact video edits and motion graphics during live fixtures and same-day content requests, maintaining consistency and quality under tight deadlines.
• Campaign Collaboration: Partner closely with the Content Creator and Copywriter to interpret campaign briefs and translate them into polished, engaging video assets that resonate with our audience.
• Asset and Template Management: Establish and maintain a well-organized library of production assets, including LUTs, motion templates, and brand kits, to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Platform Optimization: Ensure all video exports adhere to platform-specific specifications, including aspect ratios, durations, and captioning requirements, for optimal performance across Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), YouTube, and broadcast partnerships.
• Commercial Production Support: Assist in the production and post-production of commercial shoots, including partnership activations, ticketing promotions, and merchandise campaigns, to elevate our commercial storytelling.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field. Alternatively, equivalent practical experience in video editing and motion graphics will be considered.
• Experience: A minimum of 2–4 years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics, with a preference for candidates with a background in sports media.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with a strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and typography in motion. Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator for creating supporting assets is also required.
• Platform Expertise: Familiarity with platform-specific video formats and best practices, including Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and broadcast standards.
• Deadline Management: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines during live matchdays and time-sensitive projects without compromising quality.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both Arabic and English is highly preferred to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Cinematography (Preferred): Experience with cinematography and camera operation is a valuable asset for supporting on-field and commercial productions.
