Accounts Payable Officer - KSA

Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining strong vendor relationships, optimizing cash flow, and supporting the financial health of our organization. Key Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Officer will play a pivotal role in managing the full spectrum of accounts payable functions, including:

• Invoice Processing and Verification: Receive, review, and verify supplier invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to commercial terms.
• Payment Management: Process and schedule payments in alignment with organizational policies, ensuring timely settlements while maintaining optimal cash flow management.
• Reconciliation and Reporting: Conduct thorough reconciliations of vendor accounts, prepare payment schedules, and assist in monthly closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Collaborate with Operations and Business Development teams to investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) regulations, including VAT reconciliation, tax documentation, and periodic reporting requirements.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and senior finance management to facilitate audits, tax filings, and financial reporting as needed.
• Management Reporting: Assist in preparing management reports related to revenue, costs, accounts payable aging, and other financial metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following competencies:

• Educational Background: A recognized accounting qualification from a reputable accounting body, such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with financial software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Analytical and Numerical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial transactions and reporting.
• Time Management: Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
