Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Team Manager for System Operations in Transport & Logistics, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the efficiency of our logistics and transportation systems. Your core duties will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize transport and logistics operations, aligning them with Almarai’s business objectives and sustainability goals.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Operational Excellence: Monitor and manage daily logistics activities, including fleet management, route planning, and delivery schedules, to ensure timely and cost-effective operations.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement innovative solutions to streamline processes, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall productivity within the transport and logistics department.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to local and international regulations, safety standards, and company policies to maintain a secure and compliant operational environment.
• Performance Monitoring: Utilize advanced analytics and reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and implement corrective actions to drive operational efficiency.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehouse management, and supply chain partners, to ensure cohesive and integrated logistics operations.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CILT, APICS) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in transport and logistics management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role.
• Industry Knowledge: Proven expertise in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or food and beverage industry, with a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics and logistics challenges.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools. Familiarity with fleet management systems and route optimization software is a plus.
• Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward achieving organizational goals.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Additional languages are advantageous.
