Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks designed to uphold and enhance our quality assurance processes. Your duties will include conducting thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to verify compliance with established standards. You will perform detailed testing and sampling procedures, document findings accurately, and report any deviations or non-conformities to the appropriate teams for immediate resolution. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with production and operations teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures that mitigate risks and improve overall product quality.

Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining Almarai’s reputation for excellence. This includes adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and other relevant quality management systems. You will also assist in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure precision and reliability in all testing activities. Participation in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives will further enhance your ability to drive operational excellence within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; or equivalent technical diploma with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, regulatory compliance, and food safety protocols, including HACCP, ISO, and GMP.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and conducting analytical tests such as pH measurement, moisture analysis, and microbiological testing.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality-related issues efficiently.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
• Familiarity with documentation practices and the ability to maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Arabic is advantageous.
