Engineering Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Manager to lead our engineering and production teams. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of precise technical drawings, comprehensive documentation, Bills of Materials (BOM), and material requirements essential for truck body manufacturing and project execution. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineers and production personnel to ensure that all drawings and technical documentation meet the highest standards of accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability. This position is exclusively open to Saudi nationals.

Key Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

• Technical Drawing Development: Create and maintain detailed technical drawings for truck bodies and related applications, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and project specifications.
• Design Support: Provide expert drafting assistance to design engineers, including drawing revisions and the preparation of technical documentation to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Engineering Requirement Interpretation: Analyze and interpret engineering requirements, specifications, and production needs to ensure alignment between design intent and manufacturing capabilities.
• Technical Inspections: Conduct thorough technical inspections of chassis and vehicles as required, identifying potential issues and recommending corrective actions to maintain quality and compliance.
• Load Distribution Analysis: Develop and validate load distribution drawings, including necessary calculations, to ensure structural integrity and safety in all manufacturing and operational scenarios.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) Preparation: Compile and manage Bills of Materials for production, ensuring accuracy and completeness to support procurement and inventory management processes.
• Material Requirements Planning: Assist in planning and identifying material requirements for assigned projects, coordinating with procurement and production teams to optimize resource allocation.
• Documentation Management: Maintain and update engineering drawings and project documentation in compliance with approved standards and regulatory requirements.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between Engineering, Production, Stores, and other departments to address drawing and material requirements efficiently.
• Manual Preparation: Develop and maintain technical and operational manuals as needed to support production processes and end-user applications.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all drawings and documentation are prepared with meticulous attention to detail, adhering to approved engineering standards and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering drafting, technical drawing, and documentation within the automotive or heavy vehicle manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and strong technical drawing skills.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering standards, load calculations, and material specifications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with production processes and material requirements planning is highly desirable.
