Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager Oncology (Jeddah) to spearhead the launch and commercialization of GSK’s upcoming Hematology portfolio in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary liaison between GSK and key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals (HCPs), healthcare institutions, and oncology societies, to ensure the timely availability and optimal utilization of our oncology products. Your responsibilities will encompass driving sales performance, executing commercial strategies, and fostering long-term relationships to advance patient care and achieve market leadership in the oncology space.

Core Responsibilities

As the Account Manager Oncology (Jeddah), you will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities to deliver exceptional results:

  • Portfolio Launch and Commercialization: Successfully introduce and commercialize GSK’s new Hematology portfolio in the Jeddah territory, ensuring alignment with regional and national healthcare objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Hematology Key External Experts (KEEs), healthcare institutions, and oncology societies to drive advocacy and support for GSK’s products.
  • Sales and Performance Management: Achieve and exceed yearly sales targets and Lead Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the assigned territory while contributing to broader country-level brand and therapy area goals.
    • Develop and execute a robust territory business plan aligned with GSK’s commercial sales strategy.
    • Monitor product performance on a weekly and monthly basis, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Commercial Strategy Execution: Implement end-to-end solutions-driven account management strategies, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to HCPs and ensuring the delivery of patient-focused detailing and education.
    • Support marketing initiatives, including the development and rollout of campaigns tailored to market needs, while securing necessary medical and regulatory approvals.
  • Market Intelligence and Forecasting: Develop comprehensive market intelligence and initiate forecasting processes in collaboration with commercial trade channel and marketing teams to accurately reflect market demand.
    • Drive end-to-end patient solutions, including tracking and coordination with supply chain and commercial trade channel teams to ensure product availability and manage shelf life.
  • Access and Tender Management: Work closely with the tender team to provide timely feedback on proposed prices, RFQ follow-ups, and overall tender processes in coordination with the First Line Sales Leader.
    • Collaborate with the market access team to develop and implement access plans for the assigned territory, establishing a clear roadmap for key accounts.
  • Healthcare Professional Engagement: Conduct frequent, effective external meetings and interactions with HCPs to enhance disease and product awareness, education, and advocacy.
    • Prioritize efforts and resources through robust market segmentation and targeting to optimize activities and maximize impact.
  • Advocacy and Relationship Building: Establish long-lasting relationships with scientific societies and KEEs to leverage advocacy and support patient care across the region.
    • Master the implementation of patient-focused detailing, demonstrating excellence in product and disease knowledge through the use of comprehensive collaterals.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure all expenses are maintained within budget while optimizing resources to drive efficiency and effectiveness in all commercial activities.

Compliance and Governance

As a Account Manager Oncology (Jeddah), you will be responsible for upholding GSK’s stringent compliance standards and ensuring all activities adhere to the company’s prevailing codes, policies, procedures, and legal requirements. This includes:

  • Building and maintaining robust compliance knowledge to mitigate risks and ensure ethical business practices.
  • Fostering strong business partnerships with stakeholders to address and resolve issues in alignment with GSK’s governance processes.
    • Developing collaborative relationships based on trust, openness, honesty, and transparency, while demonstrating authenticity, values, and integrity.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications and possess the relevant experience:

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Saudi National.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialists (SCFHS) card.
    • Proven track record of achieving performance targets.
    • Oncology/Hematology experience is mandatory for external candidates.
      • Internal candidates must demonstrate a track record of performance over the past two years, with a minimum of two 'A' ratings or one 'A' and one 'B' rating.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications or advanced degrees in business administration, healthcare management, or related fields are advantageous.
