Key Responsibilities

The Supervisor-Stewards will be responsible for a wide range of operational duties, including:

• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of stewards and housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the property. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Operational Oversight: Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with Marriott International’s rigorous standards. Coordinate with department heads to align stewardship activities with broader hotel objectives.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to verify that all areas, including public spaces, back-of-house facilities, and guest rooms, meet the company’s cleanliness and presentation standards. Address any deficiencies promptly and effectively.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs within the team and implement development programs to enhance skills, productivity, and guest service excellence. Ensure all staff are well-versed in safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the management of cleaning supplies, equipment, and inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and cost efficiency. Report any shortages or excesses to the appropriate departments.
• Guest Relations: Act as a liaison between guests and the housekeeping team to address any concerns or special requests related to cleanliness or maintenance. Ensure a seamless and positive guest experience.
• Compliance and Safety: Enforce health, safety, and hygiene protocols in accordance with local regulations and Marriott International’s policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily operations, inspections, and staff performance. Prepare reports for senior management to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality, housekeeping, or facilities management industry.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Arabic (additional languages are a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and develop a diverse team of professionals.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning standards, safety protocols, and hospitality best practices.
• Proficiency in using property management systems and other relevant software tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is advantageous.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
