Key Responsibilities

The Senior Logistics Supervisor will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities designed to optimize logistics performance and support Almarai’s strategic objectives. Your core duties will include:

• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance team capabilities.
• Operational Oversight: Supervise daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehouse management, inventory control, and distribution activities. Ensure all processes align with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Strategic Planning and Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement logistics strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to local and international logistics regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards. Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and safeguard company assets.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal departments, external partners, and third-party logistics providers to facilitate smooth communication and resolve operational challenges. Build strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and customers to enhance collaboration.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of leadership expertise, technical proficiency, and industry experience. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications or qualifications in logistics and supply chain will be considered an advantage.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in logistics supervision or management, preferably within the FMCG, food manufacturing, or agribusiness sectors.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is highly desirable. Proficiency in additional languages may be beneficial.
