Key Responsibilities:

• Accident Investigation: Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into transportation and logistics-related incidents, accidents, or near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Root Cause Analysis: Utilize advanced investigative techniques, including but not limited to, the 5 Whys method, Fishbone diagrams, and other analytical tools, to identify underlying causes of incidents.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed, data-driven reports outlining findings, root causes, and actionable recommendations for management and relevant stakeholders.
• Safety Protocol Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and continuously improve safety protocols, procedures, and training programs tailored to transport and logistics operations.
• Compliance and Auditing: Ensure adherence to local, national, and international safety regulations, standards, and best practices. Conduct internal audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with drivers, logistics personnel, fleet managers, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety, awareness, and proactive risk management.
• Training and Awareness: Deliver training sessions and workshops to educate employees on safety best practices, incident reporting procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends, emerging risks, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions that enhance safety and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Industrial Safety, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in accident investigation, occupational health, or safety are a plus.
• Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in accident investigation, safety management, or a related field within the transport and logistics industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, management, and regulatory bodies.
• Familiarity with international safety standards, such as ISO 31000 (Risk Management), OHSAS 18001, or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience with incident management software, EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) systems, or similar tools is highly advantageous.
• Certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH, or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) would be beneficial.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel within Saudi Arabia as required for on-site investigations and audits.
