Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and Inspection: Accurately receive, verify, and document all incoming shipments, including food and beverage supplies, linens, equipment, and other operational materials. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure items meet specified quality standards and are free from damage or discrepancies.
• Inventory Management: Maintain precise records of received goods using the property’s inventory management system. Update stock levels in real-time to reflect accurate inventory data, and promptly report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the Inventory Control Manager or relevant supervisor.
• Coordination with Departments: Collaborate closely with procurement, purchasing, and department heads to ensure timely delivery and distribution of materials. Communicate effectively to align supply chain activities with operational demands, minimizing disruptions and optimizing resource allocation.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all company policies, health and safety regulations, and local labor laws. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials in accordance with hygiene and safety standards, particularly in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, storage rooms, and loading docks.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed logs of all receiving activities, including delivery confirmations, inspection reports, and inventory adjustments. Generate periodic reports as required to support audits, financial reconciliations, and operational reviews.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of a cross-functional team to streamline receiving processes and enhance operational efficiency. Participate in training sessions, process improvements, and team meetings to contribute to the continuous enhancement of departmental performance.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification, with additional certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field considered advantageous. A minimum of two years of experience in a receiving, inventory control, or warehouse environment is preferred, with prior experience in the hospitality industry highly desirable.

Key competencies for this position include strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in using inventory management software. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Physical stamina is required, as the role involves lifting, carrying, and moving items weighing up to 25 kg, as well as standing or walking for extended periods.
