Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of aviation electricians, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Technical Oversight: Conduct thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of aircraft electrical systems, including wiring, components, and avionics to ensure compliance with regulatory and manufacturer specifications.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, discrepancies, and corrective actions, while preparing detailed reports for management and regulatory authorities as required.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, mechanics, and quality assurance personnel, to resolve complex technical issues and optimize aircraft performance.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs within the team and facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and certifications.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or vocational training in aviation technology, electrical systems, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Certifications: Active certification as an Aviation Electrician or equivalent, with a strong understanding of FAA/EASA regulations and aircraft electrical systems. Additional certifications in leadership or project management are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in aviation electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience with military or commercial aircraft systems is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques for aircraft systems, including power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.
• Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of leading teams in high-pressure environments, with excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Safety Mindset: A strong commitment to safety protocols and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards in the workplace.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
