The Role of a Shift Engineer

As a Shift Engineer at Shebara Resort, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all hotel systems, including plants, equipment, air-conditioning, and other critical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will extend to maintaining the highest professional standards in engineering and maintenance activities, with an unwavering focus on guest comfort and safety. This role is instrumental in representing both our resorts and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to global visitors, upholding a values-led culture that prioritizes excellence in service and collaboration across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Management: Execute daily work schedules, manage scheduled maintenance, and promptly address guest requests and emergencies to ensure seamless hotel operations.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other operational departments to enhance their performance and ensure the proper functioning of their equipment, contributing to overall operational smoothness.
• System Maintenance: Inspect and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services, including air conditioning, water systems, and fire safety systems, to meet the highest industry standards.
• External Coordination: Liaise with external contractors on behalf of the hotel and assist external inspectors during inspections as directed by the Assistant Director of Engineering or Engineering Supervisor.
• Adaptability: Perform any additional tasks as required to support the seamless operation of the resort, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
