In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports that support strategic decision-making. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with IFRS and KSA regulations, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

As the General Ledger Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

• Financial Record-Keeping and Reconciliation: Prepare and post accurate journal entries, ensuring all transactions align with company policies, IFRS guidelines, and KSA accounting standards. Perform meticulous balance sheet and bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Month-End and Periodic Closings: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring timely and precise reporting. Record accruals, prepayments, and depreciation entries to reflect the company’s financial position accurately.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial variances, investigate discrepancies, and provide actionable insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. Assist in preparing comprehensive financial reports and schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Maintain robust documentation for journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal and external auditors, preparing schedules and reconciliations to facilitate smooth audit processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other Finance teams to ensure seamless transaction processing and data accuracy. Identify inefficiencies in financial workflows and propose process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
• Strategic Contributions: Support data-driven decision-making by providing clear, concise, and insightful financial analysis. Contribute to the continuous enhancement of general ledger processes, ensuring they remain aligned with evolving business needs.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, complemented by 3-4 years of hands-on experience in General Ledger accounting, preferably within the Hospitality industry.
• Proven ERP expertise, with proficiency in systems such as Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, or Sun Systems.
• Advanced financial reporting and analytical skills, with a strong command of Excel for data manipulation, modeling, and variance analysis.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Analytical mindset to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and recommend process improvements.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration across departments and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

While not mandatory, the following will be highly valued:

• Hold a professional certification such as SOCPA, ACCA, CMA, or CPA.
• Possess specialized experience in hotel or multi-property accounting, aligning with Plaza Premium Group’s industry focus.
