Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Development: Lead the conceptualization, design, and detailed engineering of piping systems, including layout, routing, and material selection, in alignment with project specifications and industry best practices.
• Technical Analysis and Simulation: Perform rigorous stress analysis, thermal calculations, and hydraulic simulations to validate system integrity, ensuring resilience against operational and environmental stresses.
• Documentation and Compliance: Prepare comprehensive engineering drawings, specifications, and reports using advanced CAD and BIM tools. Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes and standards, such as ASME B31.3, API 650, and ISO 14692.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, process engineers, and project managers, to integrate piping systems with broader facility designs and resolve interdependencies.
• Problem-Solving and Optimization: Identify potential risks, inefficiencies, or bottlenecks in piping systems and propose innovative solutions to enhance performance, reduce costs, and minimize downtime.
• Safety and Sustainability: Prioritize safety protocols and sustainable practices in all engineering decisions, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and corporate sustainability goals.
• Project Support and Execution: Provide on-site or remote support during construction, commissioning, and maintenance phases, addressing any piping-related challenges and ensuring seamless project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a blend of technical expertise, analytical prowess, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional certification or licensure in piping engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in piping design and engineering, preferably within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software tools, such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS, CAESAR II, or similar platforms for design and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of piping codes and standards, including ASME, API, and ISO, with a strong commitment to compliance and quality assurance.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is essential; additional proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
